Placement Courses here at school. All this week the AP Course table will
be set up
in the café’ area during every lunch. Stop by and see what
they have to offer.
If you are an upcoming junior or senior interested in participating
in the work
based learning or YAP program next year, see Mrs. Smith in A311 before
or after
school for an application. These programs provide a unique opportunity
to prepare
for future educational and career goals by learning from an experienced
mentor and
practicing applicable skills in a workplace setting.
Upcoming seniors interested in being an office aide next year may pick
up an
application from Mrs. Smith in A311 before or after school.
Would you like to save money on prom? This year’s prom,
“A Night at the
Museum,” is being held at Fernbank Natural History Museum on April
27. Junior
and Senior students at Loganville High School have to pay Junior Class
Prom Dues
to be eligible to attend prom. Junior and Senior students of LHS are not
allowed to
attend prom by purchasing a date ticket. Now is the time to pay because
Prom dues
are at the low cost of $140.00 if paid before December 14. December 15-March
20
the cost will increase to $160.00. Date tickets are $70.00 and are for
Freshman and
Sophomore dates or students that do not attend Loganville High School.
To pay
Junior Class Prom dues see Ms. Allen in room C104, Mrs. Pohlman in room
C101,
or Miss Doss in room D510.
This announcement is for all those who plan to participate in
track and field. There
will be a mandatory informational meeting this Thursday night at 6pm.
Parents
and athletes should plan on getting schedules and questions info. If you
have any
questions see Coach K. Johnson or Coach King.

The Journalism Club will be meeting Thursday after school this
week. Anyone

Students, SGA will be giving out free candy grams for you to
write a note to your
favorite teachers today, Thursday, and Friday at lunch.
The BETA Club pictures for the yearbook will be taken at today’s
meeting.
Are you failing a core class with a 60-69? Intersession classes
will be held Thursday,
December 20th and Friday, December 21st from 7:30-3:30. Forms are available
from
your teachers or at the receptionist’s desk in the lobby. Forms
are due back Friday,
December 14th to the front office.
Students that have 10 or more unexcused absences for any class,
and are passing
the class, must complete an Attendance Waiver form. You may get a form
from
your teacher or you may get one from the front office. Please answer each
question
completely. Incomplete waivers will be returned to the student and will
not be
processed. The deadline for Attendance Waivers is December 5th.
Attention 2nd period teachers and students – This is a
reminder that the change wars
are going on for the rest of the week. The second period class with the
most change
at the end of the week will receive a dough nut party and the teacher
will get a gift
card. All proceeds go to United Way.
